Skar's Nest: MU-10XJ Blame Spin

Hey everyone, this is Skar.

In this article of the blog, I will post the progress I make with my Blame Spin project.
The Blame Spin comes from the same series as the Blazer, so no backstory available -yet.

So well, here you go.

It all started goofying around with spare parts, as always. I had this broken Ground Gundam head and I finally managed to slap it somewhere.

Side note, AGE-1's lower chest fits incredibly well with Nu's upper chest. I was surprised.

So first things first, let's craft something for dat ugly broken head. Yeah, there we go.

A bit rough, isn't it? Let me smooth it out and craft some better angles.

There ya go. This is, still roghly, what the head is gonna look like. Before painting I'll smooth it out even more with thin grip sandpaper, but for now let's go on with the base mold. This thing needs a backpack.

Not the most impressive backpack ever seen, but does its job. With that bulky chest n shoulders, anything bigger would have caused balance issues with those skinny legs.

Now for the shield.

Needed to figure out a way to attach the shield to FX's forearms, they had attachment points on front and back, so I arranged a peg on the shield, like this.

So this is how it fits onto the arm, it doesn't have a great range of motion but it's a small shield and doesn't really get in the way of anything.

Let's talk weapons now.

Beam sabers currentli WIP, but I achieved the pistol.

With its own scabbard of course.

If you noticed the putty on the sideskirts, that's because I made holes on them, and that's where the beam sabers are gonna be plugged in.

Made it smoother cutting away most of the excess.

Now onto beam sabers.

There we go, beam sabers completed.

Had some fun with them as well.

Okay, okay, I know it's not finished. But I love it so much I couldn't help myself from having fun with it. So I took it and brought it for a walk in Venice with good friend Ace.

Allright, I got some updates.

All the weapons are done and basically the main body as well. The only missing thing is the shield

For the body, I decided that the feet were not pointy enought like they should've been according to the drawings. And about the head, it wasn't extreme enough, so I basically extended all the flaps and replaced those crappy handmade horns with a spare modified v-fin from MG Victory.
